Newly Owned and operated by David Ibrahim, the Tomahawk runs 1-3 day trips. Departures take place from Fisherman's Landing in San Diego.
Davids History: I started unhooking fish as a pinhead in 1998 aboard the New del Mar. Eventually I moved back down to San Diego in 2000 where I fished on various sport boats as a passenger. Around 2003/2004 I was a pinhead on the Mission Belle back when it was at Seaforth. At the time, albacore fishing was in its prime. I worked on the Pacific Star for 6 years and eventually got my 100-ton captains license in 2009. In 2010 I was full time on the Apollo with JJ Gerrittson. After gaining experience on short range vessels, I switched to long range. I filled in on the Red Rooster 3, Independence, Royal Star while working with the local fleet. I ended up full time on the American Angler for 3 yrs. In December 2022 the opportunity to purchase the Tomahawk presented itself. Timing is everything, so here we are with 1 season down and many more to go!
